Hershey Bar Cake

For the cake:
8 Hershey Bars (Junior Size)
2 c. sugar
1 cup butter
1-5.5oz can Hersey's Syrup
1 cup buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
4 eggs
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
Melt bars over hot water, adding syrup to help melt. Cream sugar and
butter. Add cooled, melted bars, beating well. Add buttermilk, then
eggs one at a time. Sift soda and flour together. Add to mixture and
beat 2 minutes. Add vanilla. Pour into well-greased tube pan and bake
at 350° for 50-60 minutes.
Icing:
Sprinkle with powdered sugar or melt 4 small Hershey’s bars with
a little syrup and pour on cake.
