Supplies for Debbie's SHOES & HANDBAG CAKE SCULPTURE - (No shoebox)
- 8in square cake, 2-3in depth
- 12in square cake board/drum
- 2 quarters of a 6in round (3in depth) Styrofoam dummy (these form the shoes)
- Cake filling/crumb coat
- Palette knife
- Small plain bladed vegetable knife
- Serrated carving knife (to sculpt the cake)
- pizza cutter
Fondant:
- 400g (14oz) ivory
- 1.15kg (2 1/2lb) soft pale green
Modelling paste: (2 level tsp Tylose kneaded into 450g (1lb) of sugarpaste)
- 340g (12oz) soft pale green
- 90g (3oz) soft pale pink
- 225g (8oz) soft palest lavender/lilac
- 60g (2oz) Ivory
- Edible silver colouring
- Large rolling pin
- Turntable
- Small Cel stick or craft stick
- CMC (Tylose) glue - (1/4 tsp stirred into 2 tbsp warm water and then left overnight to dissolve)
- Icing (powdered) sugar in a sugar shaker
- No.3 or 4 sable paintbrush
- Clean cloth (for wiping hands)
- Small circle cutter or Wilton no.12 plain piping tip (for cutting the circle pattern)
- Shoe template (supplied)
- Stitching wheel or cocktail stick (toothpick)
